The Migrant Worker & Refugee Poetry Competition MY organised a poetry competition for migrants and refugees in Malaysia. Majority of our students had the opportunity to attend the award ceremony held on 19th of November (2023) at Universiti Malaya.
We sang the Myanmar national anthem, Light the Passion Share the dream and For Unto Us a Child is Born--in hope to spread the awareness of the suffering that had not stopped in Myanmar since 2021 under the military coup.
At the same time, as Christmas season is approaching, we hope to help others realize of the real meaning behind Christmas, Jesus’s, our Saviour’s birth. Our students enjoyed singing in front of the judges, competitors, and audiences who could attend.
